The rising and lowering of tides is a natural phenomenon that happens from the interactivity of the earth and the moon. The displacement of water that comes and goes with the tides worldwide is a huge potential energy source. Maine has some has some of the largest tides on the planet and I feel fortunate to be involved in research investigating that potential.
